At Tara’s we may have a new name and a new location, but our roots in Gravenhurst run deep. We’re owned and operated by Tara and Ian McNaughton, long-standing members of the Gravenhurst retailing community as the proprietors of Gravenhurst Home Hardware and the former V&S Stedmans store (now reimagined as Tara’s).

In 2019, Tara and Ian made a bold move — to reinvent both businesses in ways that would better serve their clientele. Home Hardware expanded into the Stedman’s V&S space and took on the toys & craft, stationery, greeting card, and bed & bath departments from Stedmans, and Tara’s opened in its Main Street location, with a tighter focus on its fashion, footwear, and yarn departments.
